Pécs Cathedral, Romanesque Revival cathedral in Pécs, Hungary
The cathedral features four towers reaching 60 meters in height, with a central nave extending 70 meters in length and 22 meters in width.
The present structure, completed in 1882, stands upon foundations dating back to the 4th century when a late Roman church occupied this location.
The cathedral interior contains numerous chapels and altars dedicated to different saints, displaying religious artworks and stained glass windows throughout its spaces.
Visitors can access the cathedral through guided tours that explain the architectural elements, religious significance, and historical development of the building.
During the Turkish occupation between 1543 and 1686, the cathedral experienced substantial modifications and served different purposes before its restoration.
