The Csontváry Museum exhibits paintings and personal artifacts from Hungarian painter Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka, including landscapes, religious themes, and portraits.
The collection was rescued by Gedeon Gerlóczy after the painter's death in poverty, leading to the museum's establishment in 1973 to preserve his artistic legacy.
The museum displays major works such as 'East Station at Night', 'Storm on the Great Hortobágy', and 'Solitary Cedar', representing Hungarian post-impressionism.
Located at Janus Pannonius Street 11, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00 with guided tours available.
The museum building contains the complete collection of Csontváry's large-scale canvases, which he created during his travels across Mediterranean regions.
