Hármashatár-hegy, Mountain summit in Budapest, Hungary.
Hármashatár-hegy rises to 495 meters above sea level, making it the third highest elevation point among the 66 peaks in Budapest.
The mountain received its name in the 19th century when it marked the meeting point of three separate cities: Buda, Óbuda, and Pesthidegkút.
The mountain serves as an outdoor education center through its forest school, offering nature programs for kindergartens, schools, and families throughout the year.
Visitors can access the summit via the blue trail and find amenities including a restaurant, television towers, and the Guckler Károly Lookout Tower.
The summit experiences temperatures several degrees lower than the city center and retains snow for up to two weeks longer than surrounding urban areas.
