Árpád-kilátó, Observation tower on Látó Hill in Budapest, Hungary
The Árpád-kilátó stands at 376 meters elevation, featuring a covered design with natural stone and wood materials that opens toward the inner city.
Built in 1929 at the initiative of hotel owner Frigyes Glück, the observation tower was designed by architect Friedrich Loránd using traditional construction methods.
The structure incorporates elements of Székely architectural style, reflecting the traditional building practices of Transylvania through its small terraces and towers.
Visitors can reach the observation tower via marked hiking trails, including the National Blue Trail that connects Hűvösvölgy to Szépvölgy.
The tower provides a semi-panoramic view of Budapest, the Danube River bridges, Gellért Hill, and the surrounding Buda Mountains throughout all seasons.
