Mezőkövesd

Mezőkövesd is a town in northern Hungary located in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, situated between Miskolc and Eger. The town serves as a district center and features thermal spring facilities alongside traditional neighborhoods known for local crafts.

King Matthias granted the town municipal privileges and a seal in 1464, establishing its status as an organized settlement. This royal recognition shaped its development during the medieval period.
