Aquazone, Indoor water park in Blanchardstown, Ireland

Aquazone is an indoor water park inside the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown, County Dublin. It holds three slides named Dark Hole, Green Giant and Master Blaster, a Flow-Rider surfing machine, a pirate ship for children under five, a lazy river and a large pool that generates waves. Aquazone operates inside the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown. After a lengthy legal process, the Irish government, through its company Campus & Stadium Ireland Development (CSID), won a High Court case to repossess the centre because Dublin Waterworld had failed to pay rent. CSID also alleged the centre was not properly maintained, which the commercial court held not to be the case. Dublin Waterworld appealed; the Supreme Court heard the case on 14 November 2006, Dublin Waterworld lost, and possession was handed back.

Aquazone sits inside the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown, and its rides carry English names visitors hear called out on the poolside: Dark Hole, Green Giant and Master Blaster. The pirate ship is reserved for children under five, while the Flow-Rider surfing machine draws teenagers and adults. The centre itself was at the heart of a long dispute between the state company CSID and operator Dublin Waterworld over unpaid rent and maintenance.
