Lyons Demesne, Country estate in County Kildare, Ireland
The granite mansion sits on 600 acres of land with five lodges, multiple gardens, and a spring-fed lake at its center.
The estate, completed in 1797 by architect Oliver Grace, was commissioned by Nicholas Lawless after acquiring the property from the Aylmer family.
In 1815, the grounds witnessed a notable duel between Daniel O'Connell and John D'Esterre regarding criticisms of Dublin Corporation.
The estate includes modern additions such as a private cinema, gymnasium, and swimming pool following extensive renovations in the 1990s.
Three 12-foot granite columns from Nero's Golden House in Rome were integrated into the entrance portico during early 1800s modifications.
