Moll's Gap, Mountain pass in County Kerry, Ireland

The N71 mountain pass cuts through a landscape of grey-green sandstone formations at an elevation of 260 meters above sea level.

During the 1820s construction of the N71 road, Moll Kissane established an unlicensed public house that gave the location its current name.

The pass forms an essential section of the Ring of Kerry circuit, connecting the towns of Killarney and Kenmare through natural geological formations.

Travelers can access the pass by following the N71 road from Killarney for 14.5 miles, with multiple stopping points available along the route.

The rocks at this location exhibit an unusual green tint due to chlorite content, different from the typical red sandstone found in surrounding areas.
