The Old City of Jerusalem is a 0.9 square kilometers walled area within the modern city of Jerusalem.
It was home to several historic events such as King David's establishment of the city as capital around 1000 BC.
Culturally, it is the heart of both the Jewish and Christian religions.
The Old City is divided into four quarters: The Jewish Quarter, The Armenian Quarter, The Christian Quarter, and The Muslim Quarter.
Known worldwide as a holy city to three major religions- Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
