Dizengoff Center, Israeli shopping center in Tel Aviv
Dizengoff Center is a large shopping mall in the heart of Tel Aviv, located at the intersection of Dizengoff and King George streets. The mall has about 420 stores, cafes, restaurants, and a six-screen cinema spread across multiple levels, with some areas below ground.
The center was built on the site of a neighborhood called Nordiya, opening its first stores in 1977 and completing in 1983. It was one of the first shopping malls in Israel and has shaped the city's development and rhythm ever since.
The mall sits on Dizengoff Street, a road famous for its energy and activity. This place has become where locals and visitors naturally gather to shop, eat, or watch city life unfold around them.
The mall is open around the clock, seven days a week, though individual stores may have different hours. Two parking garages are always available (one underground, one on the roof), a 24-hour help desk can be reached at 03-621-2400, and there is easy access by public transit, bicycle, or scooter.
Below ground, the mall contains an equipped shelter with toilets, showers, and family areas, supplied by an underground water system. Two distinctive residential towers, including one shaped like a rose, rise above the center and define part of the Tel Aviv skyline.
