Marganit Tower, Military skyscraper in HaKirya, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Marganit Tower is a military skyscraper located in the HaKirya complex in Tel Aviv, featuring 17 stories and a concrete mast supporting telecommunications equipment. The structure rises approximately 138 meters and forms part of the military district.
The tower was completed in 1987 and became the second tallest structure in Israel at that time. It was developed as part of the expansion of the HaKirya military complex.
The tower serves as the headquarters of the Israel Ministry of Defense and houses offices for the Israel Defense Forces General Staff.
Access to the tower is restricted to military personnel and authorized individuals due to its strategic military function. The structure remains visible from surrounding streets and forms a recognizable landmark in the district.
During construction, engineers discovered that the tower had developed a slant of about 28 centimeters, yet proceeded with completion after technical approval. This constructive detail remains invisible to visitors but defines part of the building's technical story.
