Kfar Vitkin

Kfar Vitkin is an agricultural moshav in the Hefer Valley situated near Netanya with residential areas interspersed through farmland. The settlement comprises roughly one hundred fifty independent farming units focused on flower growing, poultry raising, and turkey production.

The settlement was founded in 1930 by twenty pioneers in a stone house before being relocated to its present location in 1933. This move established the permanent community in its current place.

The settlement operates through cooperative principles where families run individual farms while sharing community resources and facilities together. This model shapes how residents organize their daily work and interact as a community.

When visiting, remember this is an active agricultural area where farms operate regularly and machinery may be in use. The best way to experience the settlement is through a casual walk through residential neighborhoods and along the farmland.

In 1948, a ship carrying military supplies and several hundred passengers arrived at the shore here as part of larger events shaping the region. This moment remains significant in local memory and historical records.
