Eshkol National Park

Eshkol National Park is a nature reserve featuring riverbeds, meadows, woodlands, and a substantial spring system. The grounds contain diverse natural habitats that together form a varied ecosystem.

The park grounds contain archaeological finds from multiple periods, including settlement layers from the Middle Bronze Age through the Hellenistic era. These discoveries reveal a long history of human presence in the region.

The name honors Levi Eshkol, an influential Israeli Prime Minister. Visitors today experience the feeling of an oasis shaped by the natural spring water flowing through the landscape.

The park offers numerous walking trails, picnic areas with tables, swimming pools, and barbecue facilities for exploring and relaxing. Visitors should bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water, especially in warm weather.

A powerful spring in the park produces hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of water yearly, creating a natural oasis in the arid Negev landscape. This water sustains the entire ecosystem and allows lush vegetation to thrive amid the desert.
