The Golem, Public playground in Kiryat Hayovel neighborhood, Jerusalem, Israel

The Golem stands as a black and white concrete sculpture with three slide tongues extending from its mouth and spiral stairs leading to its head.

French artist Niki de Saint Phalle constructed this concrete structure between 1971 and 1972 as part of the Israel Museum's neighborhood sculpture initiative.

The sculpture represents a maternal figure with an internal dark space symbolizing a womb, reflecting themes of birth and female strength through its design.

Children can climb the spiral staircase to reach the top of the structure and slide down through three different tongue-shaped slides.

The sculpture extends across two floors and measures six meters in length, featuring a monochromatic color scheme to harmonize with the surrounding landscape.
