Sommer Contemporary Art

Sommer Contemporary Art is located in a former industrial building in Kiryat Hamelacha, showcasing paintings, sculptures, and installations by Israeli and international artists. The venue occupies an original factory space that maintains its raw architectural character.

The project began in 1999 on Rothschild Boulevard before moving to the repurposed building of a former Judaica factory in an industrial area of Tel Aviv. The relocation expanded the venue's presence within the city's growing art district.

The space brings together Israeli and international artists, creating a meeting place where local creators show their work to visitors from around the world. Regular exhibitions and events foster dialogue between different artistic traditions and perspectives.

The venue sits in a former industrial area now filled with art spaces and studios, so visiting during regular hours lets you explore the broader neighborhood. The surrounding galleries and cafes make it easy to spend several hours in the district.

Beyond its Tel Aviv location, the gallery operates a second space in Zurich that helps Israeli artists reach European collectors and museums. This two-city presence connects the Middle Eastern art scene directly to the Swiss art market.
