Debre Gannet Church, Byzantine Revival church in Jerusalem, Israel.

Debre Gannet Church features a round structure with a 30-meter-high dome and three concentric rings organizing different liturgical spaces inside the building.

The church construction began in 1882 after Ethiopian Emperor Yohannes IV purchased the land with resources obtained during conflicts with Egypt.

The church contains a sanctuary called mekdes, which houses the tabot, a sacred tablet used in Eucharistic ceremonies accessible only to priests and deacons.

The religious complex accommodates between 40 and 50 monks along with several nuns who maintain daily prayer services and traditional Ethiopian Orthodox practices.

During extended prayer services, congregants use carved wooden sticks for physical support while participating in the traditional Ethiopian Orthodox ceremonies.
