Rothschild Hospital

Rothschild Hospital is a limestone structure on Ha-Nevi'im Street featuring traditional Jerusalem architectural style with arched windows and decorative stone carvings on its facade. The building maintains its original exterior appearance while now serving as an educational facility within the city.

Baron Jacob de Rothschild funded the construction of this medical facility in 1887, establishing the first Jewish hospital built outside the old city walls. This foundation represented a major development in providing medical care to the expanding community beyond the historic center.

The building now houses Hadassah College, continuing its role as a place for medical learning and education. This institutional presence shapes how the neighborhood functions as a center for health sciences training.
