Beit Haamudim, Historical house in Nachlat Binyamin Street, Tel Aviv, Israel
Beit Haamudim is a residential building in Tel Aviv composed of three adjoining structures, each with its own staircase and prominent columns adorning the facade. The separate entrances and unified column design create a distinctive architectural expression across its exterior.
The building was designed in 1925 by architect Yehuda Magidovitch for owner Zalman Baron, who consolidated three adjacent plots of land to make this possible. This land merger allowed for the creation of a more substantial residential complex during Tel Aviv's early urban expansion.
Since 2011, this building has become a gathering place for jazz lovers who come to hear both local and visiting musicians perform nightly. The venue shapes the cultural rhythm of its neighborhood and attracts people seeking authentic live performances.
The venue is located on Rambam Street and hosts evening performances with jazz acts at reasonable admission costs for both visitors and residents. Its downtown position makes it convenient to reach, and nearby restaurants and bars help make for a complete night out in the area.
The club received recognition from Business Insider in 2015 as one of the world's top jazz venues, with DownBeat Magazine offering similar acclaim shortly after. This international attention brought the local music spot to the awareness of jazz enthusiasts traveling from around the globe.
