Unchalli Falls, 116-meter waterfall in Uttara Kannada district, India

The Aghanashini River plunges 116 meters down a steep cliff, forming a vertical cascade through the dense forest of Karnataka State.

British district collector J.D. Lushington first documented the waterfall in 1845, leading to its alternative name of Lushington Falls.

Local residents refer to the waterfall as Keppa Joga, reflecting the thunderous sound that echoes through the surrounding valleys.

Visitors reach the falls via a one-kilometer trek from the parking area through forest paths to designated viewing platforms.

The waterfall creates natural moonbows during full moon nights, making it one of five locations worldwide with this phenomenon.
