Athirappilly Falls is a waterfall in Thrissur District, Kerala, India, where the Chalakudy River drops over a rocky ledge into a deep pool. The cascade splits into several streams that swell into a wide front during monsoon season and separate into individual channels during the dry months.

The dispute over a state-proposed hydroelectric dam on the Chalakudy River above the falls began in the 1990s and continued through 2017. In September 2011 the Madhav Gadgil committee, appointed by the Union Environment Ministry in 2009, refused clearance to the Athirappilly project.

The falls appear in many Indian films, which made them famous beyond Kerala. The 1986 Tamil film Punnagai Mannan was shot here, and the falls became known in Tamil Nadu as "Punnagai Mannan Falls". Scenes from Mani Ratnam's Raavan and the song "Jiya Jale" from Dil Se were also filmed at the site.

Several viewing platforms offer different perspectives on the waterfall, with the lowest one allowing the closest view. The paths can become slippery during rain, so sturdy footwear is advisable.

The surrounding forest area hosts four endangered hornbill species at once, a combination found nowhere else in the Western Ghats. Early morning hours offer the best chance to spot these large birds flying over the river.
