Auraiya district

Auraiya is an administrative district in the Kanpur division positioned between the cities of Kanpur and Etawah. The territory encompasses multiple administrative blocks and is structured by a network of roads and settlements linking villages and smaller towns.

The district was established in 1997 when the government of Uttar Pradesh separated it as an independent administrative entity from a neighboring district. This formation enabled the region to have its own local governance structure.
