COEP Technological University is an engineering college in the Shivajinagar neighborhood of the Indian city of Pune. The campus covers around 36 acres with two main sections and several student housing blocks.
The college started in 1854 as a training center for public works officials under British colonial rule. In 2022 it gained status as an independent technological university through regional government legislation.
The boat on campus represents the Regatta tradition, where students test their own creations on nearby water each year. This event combines technical skill with the joy of competition and draws many spectators.
