Kareng Ghar

Kareng Ghar is a multi-story palace in Sivasagar district with a pyramid-shaped structure made of brick and cement. The building rises through several levels that stack vertically, displaying the architectural approach of the Ahom Kingdom.

The palace was originally built in the 18th century as a royal residence and later destroyed. It was reconstructed afterward and served the Ahom rulers as a significant fortress and administrative center.
