Kota Chambal Bridge

Kota Chambal Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Chambal River in Rajasthan with two prominent towers rising above the water. The structure connects Kota and its surroundings as part of a major road corridor.

The project began in 2008 and underwent a lengthy construction period before completion in 2017. The bridge has since become central to the region's road network.

The bridge represents the evolution of infrastructure in Rajasthan, connecting communities while providing a vantage point over the Chambal River ecosystem.

The bridge connects different parts of the city and enables traffic in multiple directions through its wide roadway. Visitors can view the structure from the riverbank or enjoy the view of the Chambal while crossing.

During construction in 2009, a serious incident occurred that drew attention to safety standards and fundamentally changed the project. This led to stricter measures in the remaining construction work.
