Rajdhani College, constituent College of University of Delhi
Rajdhani College is an academic institution in New Delhi affiliated with the University of Delhi, offering programs in arts and sciences. The campus brings together classrooms, a library, science labs, and outdoor sports facilities on a single site along a main city road.
The college was founded in 1964 under the name Government College before being renamed to what it is today. Its main building went up in the mid-1970s, and the institution has grown steadily from that point on.
Students from many parts of India study here side by side, giving the campus a noticeably mixed and open feel. Groups focused on music, debate, and science shape how people spend their time between classes.
The college sits on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and is easy to reach by metro or bus from most parts of the city. The campus grounds are open to walk through during daytime hours, making it straightforward to look around without prior arrangements.
The college emblem shows a traditional Indian oil lamp called a Nilavilakku, a type of lamp associated with knowledge and light. The institution's motto is written in Sanskrit and calls on students to learn with joy and purpose.
