Sir Parashurambhau College

Sir Parashurambhau College is an educational institution in Sadashiv Peth offering programs in multiple disciplines from junior level through postgraduate studies. The campus includes heritage structures, botanical gardens, and facilities for arts, sciences, and commerce across a large site.

The institution began in 1916 as New Poona College to meet growing demand for higher education in the region. A large donation from the ruler of Jamkhandi led to the later renaming that remains in use today.

The site includes a swimming pool available for students to use during physical education activities, which is one of the rare facilities of this kind at Indian educational institutions. The entire complex holds a heritage grade designation from the municipal council, marking its architectural importance.
