Lakhamandal temple, ruins and images

Lakhamandal temple is a religious site in Uttarakhand's mountains with stone carvings and multiple shrines positioned at different levels. Narrow pathways link the various structures, and the entire complex is built from carefully cut stone.

The site holds an unusual Shivling made of graphite that develops a distinctive shine when water touches it. This special quality becomes especially visible during religious ceremonies when water flows over the stone.
