Bogibeel Bridge, Rail-cum-road bridge in India
The Bogibeel Bridge is a combined road and rail bridge over the Brahmaputra River in the northeastern Indian state of Assam.
After 16 years of construction, it was inaugurated on December 25, 2018.
The bridge has significantly improved connectivity in the North-East region of India.
It reduces travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh by four hours.
It is the longest rail-cum-road bridge in India and second longest in Asia.
