Shikaripara Block is an administrative division in Dumka district, Jharkhand, covering approximately 438 square kilometers with more than 240 inhabited villages connected by roads and a railway line. The area functions as a local administrative hub within the Sadar subdivision, serving the surrounding communities.
The area was established as an administrative unit following the creation of Jharkhand state in 2000 through reorganization legislation. Since then, it has developed into an important center for rural governance and local administration.
