Imamzadeh Muhammad al-Mahruq

The Imamzadeh Muhammad al-Mahruq features brick and mortar construction with a central dome reaching five meters in height and an eight-meter-wide internal porch.

The mausoleum, initially constructed during the Timurid period, underwent substantial renovations in 1707 under the direction of Mohammad Khan-e-Nami during the Safavid era.

This sacred structure houses the tomb of Muhammad al-Mahruq, a descendant of Hazrat Moosa Bin Jafar, making it an important center for religious gatherings.

The mausoleum stands near the tomb of Omar Khayyam and maintains regular visiting hours for both worshippers and tourists throughout the week.

The entrance portico displays intricate tile work and inscriptions from the time of Shah Tahmasb I, representing the finest examples of Safavid architectural craftsmanship.
