Sheikh al-Islam House, Mansion and textile museum in Isfahan, Iran
The mansion features northern and southern sections around a central yard, with elaborate verandas and traditional reception halls displaying cut mirrors and stucco work.
Muhammad Baqir al-Sabzevari commissioned the construction of this mansion in the 1700s, combining Safavid and Qajar architectural elements through its development phases.
The central yard initially served as a Tekyeh for religious ceremonies, reflecting the intersection of domestic architecture and spiritual practices in Persian society.
The textile museum within Sheikh al-Islam House opens from 8:30 AM to 2:15 PM every day except Fridays and public holidays.
The mansion spans 682 square meters with additional land parcels totaling 1,455 square meters, featuring a narrow corridor connecting two separate courtyards.
