The Piruz Nahavandi Mausoleum is a tower-shaped burial monument in Kashan that rises approximately 19 meters and is crowned by a conical dome covered in turquoise tiles. The interior space displays elaborate painted ceilings, while the walls show visible layers of adobe bricks, mortar, and traditional tiles that form its construction.
History
The mausoleum was established in the early 16th century to honor a Persian warrior from the early Islamic period whose name and deeds remain remembered today. The structure underwent multiple construction phases over the centuries as different architectural styles were gradually incorporated.
