Akhlamad Waterfall

Akhlamad Waterfall is a waterfall located in Akhlamad village in Khorasan Razavi Province that drops over rocky walls into a canyon below. The water flows through mountainous terrain and creates several pools where visitors can pause and observe the landscape.

The waterfall formed over thousands of years through the erosive power of flowing water carving deep channels into the rock. These geological processes continue to shape the appearance of the canyon and surrounding landscape.

Local residents of Akhlamad village maintain traditional fruit gardens near the waterfall, integrating natural water resources with agricultural practices.

The best time to visit is throughout the year, with spring and autumn offering pleasant temperatures. Sturdy footwear is important since the paths are often wet and slippery, particularly near the water pools.

Natural rock caves and stone formations line the canyon, creating shapes that resemble theatrical alcoves. Some of these spaces produce interesting echoes when water falls or people move through the crevices.
