Moghadam House

Moghadam House is a residence with art collections in District 11 of Tehran, displaying Qajar-era architecture made from brick, stone, plaster, and tiles. The building contains three separate courtyards and holds a collection of Iranian objects including tiles, carved stones, textiles, pottery, glasswork, paintings, mosaics, and coins.

The house was built around 1900 for a senior Qajar court official and later remained in private ownership for many decades. It eventually transitioned from private collection to public access.

The house reflects craftsmanship that Iranian artisans developed over generations, visible in how tiles, carved stones, and ceramics decorated everyday rooms. These works show what beauty meant in daily life and how aesthetic skill was woven into a home's fabric.

The house is located on Imam Khomeini Street and welcomes visitors during regular museum hours. It is easily accessible and visiting requires standard precautions like any indoor space.

The basement holds pottery vessels from earlier periods that show how Iranian ceramic techniques evolved over centuries. These underground collections offer a glimpse into craft methods that artisans used long before the house was built.
