Saint Mary Armenian Church

The church features two domes of different sizes, with its main dome displaying Byzantine influences and grey basalt stone construction throughout the building.

The construction began in 1938 under architect Nikolai Markov, following the initial design by Nikolai Lauri, and reached completion in 1945 at a cost of 100,000 tomans.

The church serves as a central gathering place for Tehran's Armenian community, hosting religious ceremonies and maintaining their spiritual connection to their heritage.

Located between Masud-e-Sad Street and Mirza Kouchak Khan Street near Jomhouri Avenue, the church covers 550 square meters with dimensions of 32.5 by 19.8 meters.

The adjacent Arch Bishop Ardak Manokian Museum, established in 2000, displays Armenian artifacts, religious items, traditional clothing, and significant historical documents.
