Baveno

Baveno is a lakeside town on the western shore of Lake Maggiore in northern Italy, situated at an elevation of about 205 meters. It faces the Borromean Islands and occupies a location that offers views across the water toward these notable landmarks.

The area contains archaeological evidence from prehistoric times, with Roman burial sites indicating long-term settlement in the region. Discoveries show that the location was inhabited continuously over many centuries.
