Andora

Andora extends along the Ligurian coast with sandy beaches and spans over 31 square kilometers at an elevation of 10 meters above sea level.

The area's first inhabitants were Phocaeans from Asia Minor in the 8th century BC, later developing into a Roman settlement along the Via Julia Augusta.

The town maintains medieval structures including the Clavesana Castle, the Church of St James and St Philip, and a ten-arched bridge over River Merula.

The town features two diving centers, multiple beach facilities, and regular connections through the Via Aurelia coastal road and railway station.

Andora resides within the Santuario delle Balene, a protected marine area where visitors observe whales and dolphins from April through November.
