Abbey of Santa Giustina, Benedictine abbey in Prato della Valle, Padua, Italy

The Basilica features eight domes, three naves, and multiple chapels across its 122-meter length, making it Italy's ninth largest religious structure.

Construction of the current church began in 1530 under architect Sebastiano da Lugano, replacing an earlier building damaged by an earthquake in 1117.

The monastery houses religious artifacts, including the remains of Saint Luke the Evangelist and Saint Justina within its marble decorated sanctuary.

Visitors enter through the unfinished white marble facade, ascending steps adorned with two red Verona marble griffins from the thirteenth century portal.

The expression 'as long as Santa Giustina's construction' entered local language due to the 85-year period needed to complete the roof.
