Juvanum, Archaeological site in Montenerodomo, Italy.
The archaeological site of Juvanum contains ruins of a Roman forum, temple, and basilica spread across an excavated area near Chieti.
Inhabited by the Caraceni tribe of Samnites, Juvanum became a significant Roman settlement during the Social War period in ancient Italy.
The excavated structures at Juvanum display Roman engineering methods through preserved walls, buildings, and architectural elements from different periods.
The archaeological park opened in 2006 and received 3,788 visitors in 2018, with numbers decreasing to 3,177 in 2019 and zero in 2020.
Research teams continue to uncover artifacts and structures at Juvanum, adding to the understanding of daily life in ancient Roman communities.
