Teatro dal Verme

Teatro dal Verme is an opera house and performance venue in central Milan with a traditional horseshoe-shaped interior and modern facilities. The main auditorium seats approximately 1,420 people, with a second performance space available for diverse events.

The house opened in 1872 and hosted significant premieres by Italian composers during its early decades. It served as a cinema in the mid-twentieth century before returning to its original role as a music and performance venue.

The venue has served as a regular home for classical concerts since the early 2000s, hosting an established orchestra that performs throughout the year. Visitors experience performances in a setting designed to highlight the music and musicians.

The building sits on Via San Giovanni sul Muro in the city center and is easily accessible by public transportation. It hosts a regular schedule of events throughout the year including concerts, theater performances, and exhibitions.

The building survived World War II bombardments undamaged while many other Milan structures were destroyed. This makes it a rare example of preserved 19th-century theater architecture in the city.
