Pizzo di Gino

The Pizzo di Gino rises to an elevation of 2,245 meters within the Comasche Prealps, forming a distinct rocky pyramid visible from the Valtellina valley.

The mountain has long served as a natural boundary marker between the Province of Como and neighboring regions, guiding local communities through centuries of Alpine life.

Local mountaineering groups maintain several marked trails to the summit, preserving traditional Alpine climbing routes for current and future generations.

Hikers can access the mountain from San Nazzaro Val Cavargna, following a path that passes through the Rifugio Croce di Campo at 1,739 meters elevation.

From its summit, visitors can observe numerous major Alpine peaks, with Monte Rosa dominating the northern horizon while Lake Como stretches to the south.
