The Church of San Ferdinando stands on Piazza Triesti e Trento, featuring a vault decorated with frescoes depicting Saint Francis Xavier's life.
Built in 1636 for the Jesuits and dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier, the church underwent reconstruction in the 1650s by architect Cosimo Fanzago.
The interior contains numerous sculptures created by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro and Giuseppe Sanmartino, along with Federico Maldarelli's altarpiece painting.
Located in central Naples, the church remains active within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese and maintains regular mass schedules for worship.
After the Jesuits' expulsion in 1767, the Sacred Military Constantinian Order received the church and dedicated it to Saint Ferdinand III of Castile.
