Pic, Mountain summit in Val Gardena, Italy.

Monte Pic rises to an elevation of 2363 meters, featuring grassy slopes that contrast with the typical rocky peaks of the Dolomites region.

The mountain paths were established during the early development of tourism in Val Gardena, connecting local farms to village centers in the 19th century.

Local shepherds maintain traditional grazing practices on Monte Pic's meadows, continuing agricultural methods passed down through generations in South Tyrol.

The hiking trail to Monte Pic begins at the Runcaudie parking area at 1770 meters, covering 11.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 680 meters.

From the summit, hikers can observe eight different Dolomite groups, including Odle, Puez, Sella, Sassolungo, and the distant Ortles mountain range.

Elevation above the sea: 2,363 m

GPS coordinates: 46.58024,11.72466
