The oratory features detailed stucco decorations by Giacomo Serpotta and his son Procopio, with intricate dioramas depicting Saint Catherine's life along the walls.
Built in 1726 under the Confraternity of Santa Caterina, the oratory stands on the former residence site of Santa Rosalia in the Castellammare district.
The main altarpiece presents the Martyrdom of St Catherine from 1609 by Giuseppe Salerno, while the vestibule contains The Mystical Marriage of St Catherine.
Located at coordinates 38°07′13″N 13°21′38″E, the oratory opens daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with final entry at 5:15 PM.
The oratory maintains a confectionery producing traditional sweets following ancient recipes from Palermo's monasteries, accessible through Piazza Pretoria.
