Creta Forata

Creta Forata is a mountain summit in the Carnic Alps standing at 2,462 meters with a distinctive twin-peak structure. The mountain features limestone composition and offers several marked trails for climbers, primarily accessible from the village of Sappada.

The mountain has served for centuries as a natural boundary between the regions of Veneto and Friuli, shaping territorial development in northeastern Italy. This geographic role made it an important landmark in the region's history.
