Pinacoteca metropolitana di Bari, Art museum and national heritage site in Palazzo della Provincia, Bari, Italy

The Pinacoteca displays artwork collections across multiple sections, including medieval sculptures, Venetian paintings, and contemporary Italian artistic pieces spanning from the 11th to 20th centuries.

Established in 1928, the museum relocated to the Palazzo della Provincia by the sea in 1936, where it continues to preserve regional artistic heritage.

The collection features works by renowned artists like Bartolomeo Vivarini, Giovanni Bellini, Tintoretto, and Giorgio de Chirico, representing various Italian artistic movements.

The museum operates from Tuesday to Saturday between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with shorter hours on Sunday, and provides wheelchair accessibility for all visitors.

The Grieco Collection, added in 1987, presents Italian paintings from the late 19th century, with particular emphasis on the Macchiaioli artistic movement.
