Palazzo della Borsa Valori di Torino, Stock exchange palace in Turin, Italy.
Palazzo della Borsa Valori di Torino is a 1950s financial building featuring a striking 40-meter-wide aluminum dome at its center. The structure provides over 20,000 cubic meters of space and now functions as a conference and exhibition center.
Designed by architect Roberto Gabetti, the building was completed in 1956 to replace the former stock exchange destroyed during World War II bombings. The new construction marked Turin's reconstruction and modernization of its financial district following the war.
The building showcases how 1950s modernist design shaped Turin's financial quarter with its forward-thinking structure. Visitors can observe how the interior layout reflects the working methods and spatial needs of that era.
The building is located at Via San Francesco da Paola 28 and is easily accessible by public transportation, being close to the city center. When visiting, keep in mind that access may vary depending on the event schedule.
When it opened, the building was equipped with 400 telephone devices, a remarkable technological setup for the 1950s. This infrastructure reveals how vital communication was for stock exchange operations of that era.
