Casa del Senato, Senate building in central Turin, Italy
The Casa del Senato features square windows on its first floor, mullioned windows on the second, and gothic windows decorated with cotto tiles on the third level.
The Casa del Senato gained regional importance in 1713 when Victor Amedeus II established the Pinerolo Senate with jurisdiction over the entire Piemonte region.
The palace hosts an exhibition about the Roman necropolis, presenting thirty burials and five hundred funeral artifacts discovered during motorway construction.
Entrance to Casa del Senato requires advance reservations, with visits available from Monday to Sunday through appointment scheduling.
Three reconstructed Roman tombs in the ground floor hall display authentic funerary items from ancient excavations.
