Castello di Cavernago

Castello di Cavernago is a medieval fortress featuring a square layout with double loggias and a surrounding moat. Streams run through the expansive gardens that accompany the property, creating a network of water throughout the grounds.

The castle gained prominence in 1470 when Bartolomeo Colleoni acquired it and transformed it into a fortified residence for his family. This marked the beginning of its development as a noble seat.
