Built in 1333 by the Counts of San Martino, the castle transformed from a military structure into a noble residence through modifications in the fourteenth century.
The castle hosts regular exhibitions, including displays about local industry and military history, strengthening community connections with regional heritage.
Visitors can explore the castle every Sunday from May to October between 15:00 and 19:00, with weekday tours available through advance reservations.
The castle received extensive renovations in the late 1800s under Countess Natalia Francesetti, who enlisted architects Alfredo d'Andrade and Carlo Nigra.
